Government has reiterated its commitment to improving the agriculture sector through the involvement of the Public Private Partnerships (PPP).
Agriculture Permanent Secretary Songowayo Zyambo says development in the agriculture sector requires equal participation of the public and private sector.
Mr. Zyambo was speaking in a speech read for on his behalf by Chief agriculture Economist under the Ministry of Agriculture Christopher Mbewe at a Multi-Stakeholder dialogue meeting aimed at improving the design, Implementation and impact of PPPs in Lusaka.
And Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) assistant representative Geoffrey Chomba speaking on behalf of Country representative George Okech has emphasized the need to invest in agriculture so as to improve people’s livelihoods.
