ZNBC- has completed the installation of 15 FM transmitters across the country under the rural FM project.
Information and Media Permanent Secretary KENNEDY KALUNGA says the move is one way of ensuring that communities in far flung areas have access to reliable information through ZNBC’s Radio 1 and 2 stations.
Mr. KALUNGA says government wants people in rural areas to have access to quality FM signal which will enable them to have to factual information.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary HENRY MUKUNGULE in Isoka District, Mr. KALUNGA said the transmitters are vital and key to taking information to the people.
And Mr. MUKUNGULE said commissioning of the FM transmitter in Isoka will allow the community easily access ZNBC radio 1 and 2 signals which they never had.
