ZCCM-IH Investment Holdings, Zambia Gold Company and KASENSELI Gold Mine have applied for the stay of High Court Order to surrender KASENSELI Gold Limited’s small scale mining license to PCB Mining Limited.
The mining conglomerate and two mining companies have also applied for leave to appeal against the High Court’s Order.
The order was issued by LUSAKA High Court Judge EDWARD MUSONA who had ruled that PCB Mining Limited proved its claim beyond the stand of proof.
He ruled that ZCCM-IH, Zambia Gold Company and KASENSELI Gold Mine breached the Memorandum of Agreement of 2020 to surrender the small scale mining license to PCB Mining Limited.
It is against this background that ZCCM-IH, Zambia Gold Company Limited and KASENSELI Gold Limited have applied for the stay of the judgment and leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal.
