Charge D’Affaires at the Zambian Embassy in France CHRISSY HILWEELE has called for the formulation of strategies aimed at promoting Zambia’s tourism on the French market.

Mr. HILWEELE cites strengthening air connectivity as a strategy to ease access to Zambia’s tourism destination.

He says Zambians also need to rediscover the country by packaging captivating sites, showcasing the food and rich cultural heritage as a means to market the country.

Mr. HILWEELE was speaking at the just ended International and French Travel Market -IFTM- Top Resa, a prestigious show in Paris, France.

He said the 45th edition of the Top Resa which was held in Porte de Versailles, Paris created a platform for the Mission to forge stronger partnerships with destination marketing companies to better market Zambia’s tourism sector.

Mr. HILWEELE said the forum presented an opportunity to strategically market destination Zambia and monitor market and consumer trends in the global tourism industry.

He further expressed gratitude to Facility Concept for supporting the African continent to market and increase the brand visibility of the various African destinations.

Earlier, IFTM Top Resa Director LAURENCE GABORIEAU acknowledged Africa’s domestic tourism potential in stimulating economic growth.

This is according to a statement made available to ZNBC News by first Secretary Press at the Zambian Embassy in PARIS, NAOMI MWEEMBA.
