Zambia will undergo a full International Civil Aviation Organization Audit in August, 2024.

The International Civil Aviation Organization audits the aviation safety and aviation security oversight capacity of its 1 hundred and 93 member states.

Civil Aviation Authority Acting Director General MULONDA MULONDA says the Civil Aviation Authority will intensify its engagements the various aviation industry players and stakeholders so that the country adequately prepares for the audit.

Mr. MULONDA said this during the closing of the European Union funded Project -Aviation Sector Support Programme II component in Lusaka today.

And, Ministry of Transport and logistics Permanent Secretary FREDERICK MWALUSAKA said the country was provided with support from the EU that enabled Zambian registered airlines to be removed from the ban of flying into Europe.

Meanwhile, Head of Infrastructure in the EU Delegation to Zambia and COMESA
MASSIMO BONANNINI said the EU has been supporting the aviation sector in Zambia for more than 20 years.
