The Zambia Athletics is hopeful Sprinter MUZALA SAMUKONGA will be fit for the World Athletics Championship.
Zambia Athletics President ELIAS MPONDELA says it is unfortunate that the Athlete has an injury reoccur weeks before the start of the 2023 world championships.
The 2023 World Athletics Championship will run from August 19 to 27 in Hungary.
MPONDELA says SAMUKONGA has today undergone a medical review in Berlin Germany to determine the impact of his injury.
He told ZNBC Sports News that from the results that will be obtained the Association will then write to Government for assistance.
And MPONDELA has also congratulated PATRICK NYAMBE for minting gold at an Athletics meet in Finland.
NYAMBE clocked 45.89 seconds in the 400 meters race.
