Over 30 youths have graduated with certificates in coaching for football and basketball.
Among the 30 include 10 who acquired certificates in coaching women’s football, while 20 obtained certificates of junior basketball coaching.
Speaking during the presentation of awards, Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- Technical Director LYSON ZULU said the initiative is part of the association’s sports development agenda.
ZULU said for women’s football to grow, it requires participation from the earliest stage and talent identification in communities.
Meanwhile, Zambia Basketball Federation President MAZIKO PHIRI said the sport is fast developing and wants to contribute to the wellbeing of youths in communities.
And Sport in Action Executive Director FRANK MUSHINDU said the progress made by the recipients of the certificates is an indicator of how sport can transform lives.
