Centre for Young Leaders in Africa has launched a programme meant to enhance the participation of young women in politics.

Programme Manager, Anna Siame, notes that only a few women have the capacity and knowledge to contribute to formal political processes in the country hence the need to widen participation.

Ms. Siame says the programme will therefore create a network of women by connecting them to mentors in politics for their voices to be amplified.

One of the participants, Ruth Ndlovu, has urged fellow young women to take interest in governance.

The programme dubbed ‘Young Women in Politics’ aims at supporting young women in politics through mentorship.
