British High Commissioner NICHOLAS WOOLLEY has praised the Zambia Police Service for equipping officers with skills for effective policing.
Mr. WOOLLEY says specialized Police trainings are an effective way of growing the confidence and capabilities of Police officers.
Speaking at the Police Command Center in Lusaka during the graduation of 17 Police officers who undertook a course in Sexual Gender and Gender Based Violence, Mr. WOOLLEY said the course has instilled skills for better investigations by Police officers.
The training was handled by experts from the British Peace Support Team Africa.
And Deputy Inspector General of Police ALITA MBAHWE has thanked the British government for facilitating the training.
Ms. MBAHWE said the training has given the officers skills which will help them execute their jobs professionally.
She urged the officers to work hard and implement whatever they have been taught.
