Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has encouraged women to participate in the automotive industry and seize available opportunities.
Mrs. NALUMANGO says the automotive industry has been known as a male dominated industry, a statement that must challenge women to change the narrative.
Speaking during the launch of the 13th Lusaka Motor Show in Lusaka today, Mrs. NALUMANGO described the event as a power house for job creation and economic growth.
She said exhibitors have showcased smart technologies that are addressing the adverse effects of climate change.
Mrs. NALUMANGO said electric vehicles are a way to go to promote eco friendly solutions.
And Small Medium and Enterprise Development Minister ELIAS MUBANGA said the ministry will engage motor bike companies to support small scale farmers.
Meanwhile, Lusaka Motor Show Founder BOBBY SINGH said the the Motorshow is supporting growth in the automotive sector and is a gateway for investment into the country.
