(ZANIS )The Rotary Club of Mansa says through its partners it is embarking on a project worth US$2.1 Million, aimed at eliminating Malaria in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga Provinces.
Speaking during the induction ceremony of the Rotary Club of Mansa new president, Charles Sichinga, Outgoing Club president, Martin Chuma noted that the project will end in 2022.
Mr Chuma urged the new board members of the Rotary Club of Mansa to ensure they actualize all the running activities of the club and consult the out-going board on various issues.
Meanwhile, Luapula Province Minister, Nickson Chilangwa who was represented by Permanent Secretary, Charles Mushota wants the Rotary Club to expand its presence in the Province.
Mr Chilangwa added that this is important as the government and Rotary club try to uplift the wellbeing of the people.
He stated that such kind of partnerships if strengthened will always be of benefit to the people of Zambia.
Mr Chilangwa further said as the tripartite elections are drawing near, love and peace should be preached.
