Critical Minerals Refinery, a US based Company, intends to invest over ten billion United States dollars to develop three mineral and Rare Earth element Refineries in Zambia.

The Mineral Refineries will be located in Multi-Facility Economic Zones on the Copperbelt central and Northern provinces.

Speaking during a meeting with the nine Copperbelt based Traditional Leaders, Critical Minerals Refinery President CHRIS ROBINSON said the investment will create approximately 3,000 jobs within 36 months of establishment.

He explained that an initial investment of about 500 million dollars will be injected into the project in the next few days and that in 24 years the firm will be fully established to start operations.

And Luanshya District Commissioner ONCEMORE NGONOMO said the government is developing policies aimed at fostering equal access to mineral resources for equal benefits.

And  Chief NKambo of Masaiti District who spoke on behalf of the other chiefs, said they will only be happy if they see the implementation of the  project.
