Former Vice President ENOCH KAVINDELE says the Zambia-Lobito railway line which the United States and the European Union have offered to fund is expected to create over seven thousand jobs during the construction stage.
Mr. KAVINDELE, who is also the founder of North West Railway a company, says the project is likely to give Zambia many economic benefits.
In an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka this afternoon, Mr. KAVINDELE said the support by the US and EU will see the project coming into fruition because feasibility studies have already been done.
He said the Zambia-Lobito railway line will help Zambia easily export copper and other minerals especially that the country is planning to increase copper production to three million tonnes per annum.
