Zambia has recorded a sporadic spike in Typhoid cases amid other waterborne diseases.
Health Minister Sylvia Masebo says bacterial contamination of water sources has been on the increase due flooding experienced in most parts of the country.
Mrs. Masebo says out of 256 samples screened, 215 tested positive for Typhoid.
She adds that Mbala General Hospital was the first to record a case of typhoid fever from a 1 year old baby who presented symptoms of the infection.
