Over 300 social sciences teachers in Eastern Province gathered to find solutions on how to improve the learner performance across the Province.

The teachers are also sharpening their teaching skills.

Eastern Province Senior Education Standards Officer in charge of social sciences JOYCE MWIINGA says this follows poor results for some social sciences learners recorded last year.

Ms MWIINGA says the brainstorming will trickle down to districts across the Province.

She was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News at the end of the two day social science teacher’s conference in Chipata.
