Tanzania President SAMIA SULUHU HASSAN is today expected in Zambia for a state visit at the invitation of President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.

During the visit, the two leaders are expected to engage in discussions covering a range of topics, including bilateral, regional, and global affairs.

Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, STANLEY KAKUBO says the discussions will build on the state visit undertaken to Tanzania by President HICHILEMA in August 2022.

He says the bilateral talks will culminate into the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in sectors such as Trade, Investment, Energy, and Defence.

Mr. KAKUBO says President SAMIA is scheduled to grace the 59th Independence celebrations in Lusaka, and later officiate at the Zambia-Tanzania Business Forum.

Further, the Tanzanian President will address the National Assembly on Wednesday, 25th October 2023.

The Tanzanian President is expected to conclude her engagements on Wednesday, October 25th 2023.
