Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA has advised education authorities in Africa to promote exchange visits and learn from each other to improve the African education system.
Mr. SYAKALIMA says solutions to the many challenges the African education system is facing are found within the continent.
Speaking when he opened the 2023 Meeting of the African Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities -AFTRA- in Lusaka this morning, Mr. SYAKALIMA said Africa has a lot of potential which needs to be harnessed by countries working together for the betterment of its people.
He said the one billion people on the African continent have the solutions for the many challenges which the continent faces.
And AFTRA President JOSIAH AJIBOYE said his organization is working across the continent to strengthen the education regulatory agencies and promote professionalism for teachers.
Professor AJIBOYE said all challenges being faced by education authorities are being forwarded to relevant authorities to find solutions for teachers.
