Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary, Bright Nundwe has requested the Road Development Agency -RDA- to source for funds to ensure the successful completion of C-400 road projects in the province.
Mr Nundwe says the completion of roads under the C-400 project would change the landscape of the Copperbelt and bring back connectivity.
The Permanent Secretary said this when RDA Director Corporate Affairs and Communication, Masuzyo Ndhlovu paid a courtesy call on him at his office.
He said Copperbelt is the highest contributor to the GDP of the country and a good road network in the province can boost business and add value to the country’s economy.
Mr Nundwe has since praised Government for ensuring that there is maximum quality in execution of all projects in the province.
Meanwhile, Mr Ndhlovu said RDA intends to improve road infrastructure and stakeholder management as well as human resource.
Mr Ndhlovu, who is on a media tour of Copperbelt Province to check on the progress of roads, said RDA is working closely with stakeholders to ensure quality maintenance of roads and upgrade other roads to bituminous standards.
He said the agency has engaged with its parent ministry which has since escalated the issue to the Ministry of Finance and waiting for funding to complete the C-400 projects.
