Melody Mwakalombe Mbewe writes on her experience with free education.
Today I took my niece from the outskirts of Lusaka in the country to a government school in Stumbeko for her to start her grade 9, at Kalala basic school.
We had the correct uniform had books and the authorities at the school went through the register as she had been registered earlier before schools closed. Her name was on the register, she was showed her class.
We patiently waited to hear, ” ok madam pay so much” The teacher said her past test results from her previous school are excellent, we hope she will continue to Excell here. Thank you mom you can leave your child.
