Shoprite has announced that it will start selling cheap mealie meal supplied by the Zambia National Service on Sunday.
Shoprite Zambia General Manager, CHARLES BOTHA says all the 17 Shoprite stores in Lusaka will be stocked with Eagle Milling mealie meal tomorrow in readiness for sale on Sunday.
Mr. BOTHA says the sale of Eagle Milling Mealie meal will start with Lusaka before being rolled out to the rest of the country.
In an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka today, Mr. BOTHA said each person will only be allowed to buy two bags of mealie meal at a time.
