Government has unveiled a fleet of 27 patrol vehicles for the Road Transport and Safety Agency – RTSA.

Transport Minister FRANK TAYALI says the vehicles are meant to enhance road enforcement patrols across the country.

Mr TAYALI says the vehicles were previously used by the Agency staff.

He says each of the major highways will have a patrol vehicle to enforce road traffic rules.

Flagging off the vehicles during the RTSA open day “themed Leveraging partnerships in ICT to improve road safety”, Mr TAYALI implored the Agency to embrace technology to reduce road accidents.

Mr. TAYALI has appealed to all stakeholders to work with the Agency against curbing Road accidents.

Meanwhile, RTSA Board Chairperson ALLEN MATE says the Agency will start publishing accident investigations and recommendations to the Public.
