President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says government identifies with the shared ideals of the Rotary International which include malaria elimination.

President HICHILEMA says government’s policy on disease prevention and control resonates with rotary international.

He has called for strengthened efforts in climate change actions as he congratulates Rotary International for including climate change as part of its programmes.

This was in a speech read for him by Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO during the official opening of the Rotary International 5th All Africa Institute in Lusaka today.

Mrs. NALUMANGO was also bestowed the title of Honorary Rotarian during the ceremony.

And Rotary International President GORDON McINALLY said there’s need for cooperation to find new ways to address mental health and wellbeing.

Rotarian and Businessman RAJAN MAHTANI said the restoration of the rule of law has given businesses and investors an opportunity to thrive.

Meanwhile United States Global Malaria Coordinator DAVID WALTON said through Rotary Clubs in Zambia, the Rotary Club of Federal Way in Washington and other partners have over the years raised six million dollars to end malaria in Zambia.
