The Zambia Metrological Department has warned of reduced temperatures from 11-16th of July 2023 due to a strong high-pressure system over southern South Africa which will be advecting a strong, moist and cool airflow from the south east over most parts of Zambia.
The department says temperatures will drop by about 2 degrees Celsius.
The department has since urged members of the public to keep warm and avoid open spaces due to dusty conditions as the weather may lead to increased cases of flu and other related health conditions.
Some parts of South Africa are currently experiencing snow for the first time in over a decade.
