Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister JACK MWIIMBU has directed the Zambia Police Service to expedite investigations and establish the cause of fire at Rusangu Secondary School in Monze District.
This is after a dormitory at the school caught fire on Saturday, resulting in property worth thousands of Kwacha being burnt to ashes.
Mr. MWIIMBU has also asked management at the school to motivate and encourage the affected pupils because they are traumatized due to the fire.
Speaking when he visited the school with Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA, he also appealed to the corporate world to come to the aid of the affected learners sooner than later.
Meanwhile, Mr. SYAKALIMA said his ministry is on the ground to establish the bill of quantity to immediately start rehabilitation works on the dormitory.
