Chimwemwe Member of Parliament ALLEN BANDA has engaged the police command to intensify police patrols in East of Garneton following the recent killing of two family members by unknown criminals.
Mr. BANDA told ZNBC News that police patrols are a must owing to the rising crime levels in the area.
He explained that he will also contribute some funds towards supplementing community efforts to construct a police post in Garneton East.
Mr. BANDA further explained that part of the 2023 CDF cannot be used for the projects because the Funds have already been planned for other uses hence the efforts from community members to put up a police post in that area.
A Kitwe businessman identified as SAMUEL CHIKWE and his brother-in-law BENSON MUSONDA were shot dead by 8 armed criminals at their house in Garneton East area two weeks ago.
