President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says there is a need to address the damage of emissions to avert the effects of climate change on the environment.
President HICHILEMA says by planting trees, Zambia can help avert challenges of climate change.
Speaking to Journalists after visiting HUANGYANGJIE a historic site in the Jinggang mountains in China, President HICHILEMA said it is important to gain knowledge on planting trees as it can be positive on the environment.
And, President HICHILEMA said the struggles at the historic site shows the deep story of strength of mind, leadership and what can be achieved.
President HICHILEMA said Chairman MAO and his colleagues were able to liberate China through so much hard work of moving food.
He said visiting the site allows history to sink in and understand what can be achieved.
President HICHILEMA said his team is energized to work and improve the welfare of Zambians.
During the Jinggangshan struggle, soldiers and civilians carried more than 150,000 kilograms of food to the Jinggangshan mountains.
President HICHILEMA has since left Jiangxi Province for other engagements in Fujian province.
