The local Authority in Luwingu has intensified community sensitization programmes in order to discourage parents from withdrawing their children from school so that they can help them collect Caterpillars known as Finkubala.
Luwingu Council Chairperson RODRICKS MULENGE said the authorities were worried that some grade seven pupils may not write the exams because of the same problem.
Mr. MULENGA says parents should allow the pupils in examination classes to prepare for their exams without any disturbances.
He told ZNBC news that traditional leaders have also been involved in the campaign to stop parents from withdrawing their children from school.
Mr MULENGA said those who want to be assisted in collecting caterpillars should wait until schools are closed.
