Chipolopolo Boys midfielder Emmanuel Banda says everyone in the Chipolopolo camp has the same target of helping the team qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Banda says for the players playing at the FIFA World Cup is important for their careers.
The Rijeka midfielder was also quick to call on the fans to show up in numbers for Friday’s encounter.
“Everyone in the squad has the same target of ensuring Zambia qualifies for the World Cup which will be the first time in our country’s history,” he said.
For us as players, it is so important for our careers to play at the World Cup and we will fight from the first whistle all through to the last whistle.”
“It is good that we are starting the campaign at home, it will give us a good base and I encourage the fans to come out in huge numbers and support us passionately as they have always done,” he added.
Zambia hosts Congo Brazzaville at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on November 17 before travelling to Marrakech for a match against Niger which will be held four days later.
