Football Association of Zambia-FAZ- Referees Manager AZIPH BANDA has refuted Media reports that referee LEONARD AKAPELWA issued 16 Yellow cards and one red card in a game that saw MUZA beat Green Eagles 4-nil.
BANDA says only 8 yellow cards and one red card was issued during the game.
He says the report received from the match commissioner says AKAPELWA was professional throughout the game.
Speaking when he appeared on ZNBC lunch time TV news, BANDA said the referee was within his jurisdiction to issue the cards as referees have no limit to the number of cards they can issue in a game.
BANDA further called on Clubs to follow the right channels of communication when airing out grievances against match officials.
