Zambian Super League side Prison Leopards have ruled out the possibility of re-enganging Mwenya Chipepo as head coach , the ZamFoot Crew understands.
Following Chipepo’s resignation at Power Dynamos, bookmakers had placed him as favourites for a possible return to President Stadium.
But according to the ZamFoot Crew sources in Kabwe, Chipepo wasn’t even considered on the provisional list.
“We had other targets. We will be informing the public about our new coach soon,” the ZamFoot Crew source said.
“After what happened, we had to be thorough this time around.
With Prison Leopards out, Mwenya will be heavily linked with vacant positions at Lumwana, Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club and Forest Rangers.
He guided Power Dynamos to a league title last season.
Prison Leopards is expected to announce their third coach this season following the departure of Albert Kachinga to Trident.
Chris Kaunda only spent a week in Kabwe as he cited interference.
