Government is about to conclude negotiations with the concessionaire to work on the Ndola -Sakanya -Mufulira and Mokambo road which links Copperbelt to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Housing, Infrastructure and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI says the Ndola -Sakanya -Mufurila to Mokambo road is an important international corridor for Zambia.
Mr. MILUPI was speaking in NDOLA this when he called on Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary AUGUSTINE KASONGO.
And Mr. KASONGO said the state of Copperbelt roads has been a thorny issue.
He said there is an urgent need to work on some of the critical roads such as the Chibuluma in KITWE and Ndola -Sakanya -Mufurila to Mokambo among others.
Mr. KASONGO said that currently there is an outcry from the KITWE City Council on the cost it is incurring on the water Bowser to suppress dust on the Chibuluma road.
