Super League side, Power Dynamos have announced the acquisition of Green Eagles dancing right back Mateo Ndashe.
According to a press statement from Kitwe based outfit availed to the ZamFoot Crew, Ndashe has signed a season-long loan deal. His acquisition will give the Fordson Kabole led technical bench more options as Allan Kamwanga and Govenda Simwala is still out nursing injuries.
“Power Dynamos have recruited Matteo Ndashe from Green Eagles FC to beef up the backline. His arrival has given the technical bench a lifeline following the spate of longterm injuries that have hit two wing-backs, Govenda Simwala, and Allan Kamwanga.
Ndashe who has been acquired on loan from Green Eagles will be at Power until end of this season and will increase team depth.”
The deal was reached last week after the Kitwe based side outbid two other Super League sides for his services according to ZamFoot Crew sources close to the deal. The player hinted on the move last Saturday when he wished the Kitwe giants the best of luck ahead of their game with Kansanshi Dynamos.
The move was prompted by the fact that Ndashe was surprisingly left out of the Green Eagles squad for Continental football and the Superleague.
Eagles head coach Aggrey Chiyangi explained his omission from the squad that traveled for the CECAFA Kagame Cup and promised to meet him and discuss his future with the club.
“I have not had time to talk to Ndashe. If he has decided to stop football that is his decision. Maybe he is disappointed that he did not travel with us for CECAFA but we were given a limited number to take so we could not carry everyone and he is not the only one who remained, They are others. So on Ndashe’s Issue, I think I need to talk to him first and hear his side of the story, ” Aggrey Chiyangi said.
Ndashe who has a unique way of celebrating goals and wins for his squad is among the Zambia Super League fans favorites with his ‘Ndashe dance’ being a form of entertainment for the fans.
