The Zambia Council for Social Development says it expects government to increase funding to social sectors, in the 2024 national budget, to be presented later this month.
Zambia Council for Social Development Director, LEAH MITABA says this is in order for the country to meet regional and international agreements and also address social developmental inequalities.
Ms MITABA says the organisation expects more funding to the health, education and agriculture sectors, with the objective of reducing poverty and ensure equitable social economic development.
She said this in an interview during the Stakeholder’s Feedback Meeting on the National Budget submissions, in Monze, Southern province.
