Mwepu leads Mutapa’s final COSAFA U-20 squad

Kafue Celtic forward Francisco Mwepu leads the Zambia U20 national team 20-man squad ned by Head coach Osward Mutapa for the tournament that kicks off on Wednesday.

Mwepu will lead the team from the front as he looks to carry his club form which has seen him net seven goals in the National Division One so far. Other Notable players that have been named include Captain Prince Mumba, Golden Mashata, Patrick Gondwe, and Muma Mumba.

Late Changwe Kalale’s young brother Musonda Kalale who has been on the fringes of the squad has finally made the squad. Mutapa has also roped in Golden Mafwenta from Zanaco, John Chishimba from Zesco United and Ricky Banda from the lower division side Jumulo.

The 2019 COSAFA Youth Championship will be held in Lusaka from December 4 – 14 at Nkoloma and Sunset Stadium.

GOALKEEPERS: Prince Bwalya, Flobby Mashakalati

DEFENDERS: Crawford Mwaba, Golden Mafwenta, Vincent Chate, Justin Mwanza, John Chishimba, Issah Kazembe

MIDFIELDERS: Prince Mumba, Golden Yamikani Mashata, Chanda Mukuka, Patrick Gondwe, Elliot Kampukesa, Musonda Kalale, Thomas Zulu, Muma Mumba
