The Zambia Border Posts Upgrading Project and COMESA have installed metal detectors, baggage scanners and passport readers at Mwami border.
The new installations will help improve efficiency at the border.
Zambia Border Posts upgrading project Coordinator Dr SIMON NG’ONA told ZNBC News that the new equipment will ensure that the products that are being exported or imported are secure.
The Zambia border posts upgrading project is being implemented at Mwami, Chirundu and Nakonde border posts at a cost of 6.8 Million Euros.
