Technology and Science Minister FELIX MUTATI says Government has given enough incentives to the private sector to help spur growth and development.

Mr. MUTATI says Government now expects the private sector to rise to the challenge and help create jobs and promote economic growth.

He was speaking during a post budget breakfast meeting organised by PWC in Lusaka this morning.

And Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary DANIES CHISENDA said money will be released promptly to budgeted activities.

Mr. CHISENDA said in the 2024 national budget, government balanced between providing incentives and allocating resources where they are needed.

Meanwhile, PWC Senior Partner ANDREW CHIBUYE said the 2024 National Budget has shown consistency in the allocation of resources to critical sectors.

And Economist MUTISUNGE ZULU said next year’s national budget has shown government’s commitment to promoting economic growth.

Mr. ZULU, who is also ZANACO Chief Risk Officer, said Government’s commitment has led to the success in the debt restructuring process which in turn has led to credit rating agencies revising their outlook for Zambia to positive.
