A 27-year-old Mobile Money Agent of Nakonde District has been robbed of five phones and 20-thousand kwacha cash by two men who were armed with a gun and a machete.
PERTHIAS MWANSA, who operates at Black Market on the no-man’s land between Zambia and Tanzania, was shot by the robbers before they went away with five Itel and Samsung phones and money which were in a Laptop bag.
Muchinga Province Police Deputy Commanding Officer RONALD ZAMBO says during the robbery, the robbers shot Mr. MWANSA on the left thigh and hacked him on the back of the head.
Mr. ZAMBO has told ZNBC News in a statement that the robbery happened at Ntindi Village around 19:00-hours, when Mr. MWANSA was walking home after knocking off from work.
