The Media Institute of Southern Africa -MISA- Zambia Chapter has commended ZNBC for successfully issuing new guidelines governing its news programming.
MISA Zambia Chairperson BARNABAS SIMATENDE says the step is significant and highlights ZNBC’s commitment to upholding journalistic integrity, objectivity, accuracy and professionalism in its position as the Public Broadcaster.
Fr. SIMATENDE says MISA Zambia recognizes that clear and well-defined guidelines empower journalists and news producers to understand the parameters within which news content should be crafted.
He says this leads to a better-informed citizenry and contributes to the democratic process of society.
