The Vincent Green Environmental Organisation has challenged millers in the country to explain how and why they are failing to make profit from a 50 kg bag of maize.
Organisation Founder ANDREW KYAMASENGO says if millers are buying a 50Kg of maize at about K300 from farmers, they are able to produce a 25Kg bag of mealie meal and still remain with some by-products which can be sold separately.
Speaking in a walk interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka, Mr. KYAMASENGO said the by-products can be used to make things like chicken feed.
