Police in Choma have arrested DENMARK SIKUMBA for stabbing to death his young brother MICHELO MIYANDA after a misunderstanding.
Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA says the deceased who was visiting the elder brother in Choma, was stabbed in the suspect’s house, during a fight.
Mr HAMOONGA explained the two went drinking within Mwapona compound and went back home whilst quarreling and later they started fighting inside the suspects house.
He explained that afterwards, the wife of the deceased heard noise in the house and immediately went out, calling for help from neighbours and Police officers at Mwapona Police Post.
Mr HAMOONGA told ZNBC News that Police officers rushed to the crime scene where they found the deceased laying lifeless on the floor in a pool of blood.
He said after physical inspection, the deceased body was found with a deep cut on the right thigh.
The Body has since been deposited in Choma General Hospital Mortuary awaiting Post-mortem and burial.
