Mambwe town council has constructed a block of three classrooms at Yosefe Day Secondary School in Mambwe District, Eastern Province.
The pupils at Yosefe Day have been using classes at the Primary School for lessons.
The one by three classroom block was constructed at a cost of 850 000 Kwacha from the Constituency Development Fund.
The local authority also constructed a one by three classroom block at Chilongozi Primary School at a cost of 350 000 Kwacha and renovated a one by three classroom block at Chitempha Primary School at a cost of 250 000 Kwacha.
Eastern Province minister PETER PHIRI told ZNBC News that more classes will be constructed at Yosefe Day Secondary School next year.
And acting Mambwe district education board secretary RASFORD MUNGA said the construction of classroom blocks will provide a conducive learning environment for the pupils.
