(ZANIS) On average about four people in Zambia die due to malaria everyday.
Health Minister SLYVIA MASEBO says on average about 23,093 cases of malaria are recorded everyday.
Ms MASEBO the situation calls for urgent investment, innovation, and action from everybody.
She says the government remains committed to the provision of quality health services and implementation of evidenced-based malaria interventions as close to the family as possible.
Ms. MASEBO was speaking in Chongwe today when she graced the 2023 Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Mosquito Campaign.
She said the Ministry through the National Malaria Elimination Centre (NMEC) supported by partners will be distributing over 11.5 million Long – Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets countrywide protecting over 19 million people against malaria.
