Lusaka – Ndola Dual Carriage Way concessionaire has started reconstruction works from Jacaranda Mall to Skyways ZESCO Substation in Ndola.
Avic International Business Manager DIMAS MUSONDA says the 2.5-kilometer stretch will be reconstructed into a dual carriage way and works are expected to be complete by November 2023.
Mr. MUSONDA says the concessionaire has decided to reconstruct that stretch because it is in a bad state.
He further says some portions of the road will be rehabilitated this year, but the actual construction of the Dual Carriage Way will start next year.
Mr. MUSONDA was speaking to Journalists in Ndola when a team from the Road Development Agency-RDA- Commercial and Technical Services Department stopped over during a sensitization tour to the Northern Region.
Meanwhile, RDA Acting Communications and Corporate Affairs Director ANTHONY MULOWA said emergency and maintenance works will be done on bad portions to maintain the existing road.
