Home Affairs Minister JACK MWIIMBU says looting has extended to ITEZHI TEZHI District following suspected ritual killings in Mumbwa District.
Mr. MWIIMBU says a number of people have since been arrested in ITEZHI TEZHI and that some of the maize that was looted has been recovered.
He says more people have also been apprehended for riotous behavior that occurred in Mumbwa.
Mr. MWIIMBU said this when he delivered a ministerial statement to parliament today to give an update on the death of 4 people in Mumbwa.
Mr. MWIIMBU described the acts as the crudest forms of violence in the country and that the Government will use all means available to rid the country of such acts.
He said the acts in Mumbwa were simply an act of criminality and that there is NO justification for riotous behavior.
