Livingstone University Teaching Hospital Anti-Gender based Violence- GBV- One Stop Centre has recorded an increase in GBV cases in the first half of the year.

The hospital has recorded 485 cases compared to 476 cases during the same period last year.

Anti-Gender Based Violence Coordinator DERRICK SIALONDWE says the trend is worrying and needs all stakeholders to help reduce the vice.

Mr. SIALONDWE told ZNBC News that physical fights between spouses accounts for the highest number in terms of GBV cases followed by defilement cases.

He said in the first half of this year, the Centre recorded eighty three cases of child pregnancies compared to seventy six cases recorded within the same period last year.
