Labour and Social Security Acting Permanent Secretary, ZECHARIAH LUHANGA says the government will not compromise on health and safety.
Mr. LUHANGA says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has provided a timely reminder to labour inspectors in the country to ensure no company compromises on the safety and health of workers.
He added that the President, during his address at the opening of the third Session of the thirteenth National Assembly yesterday, emphasized that compliance will not be compromised.
The Acting Permanent Secretary was speaking in Livingstone during the official closing of the Vision Zero conference.
He said Zambia is ready to learn from other countries with a wealth of experience and best practices in handling occupational health and safety.
