Government has paid out over K9.5m in Constituency Development Fund -CDF- loans to 133 Cooperatives in three Kitwe Constituencies.
The constituencies are Nkana, Chimwemwe and Kamfinsa.
Kitwe Council Director Planning KAMANGA KAYAYA says Chimwemwe has received K3.2m to enable 39 Cooperatives boost their businesses while Fifty three Cooperatives in Nkana Constituency got K3m.
Mr. KAYAYA adds that the government has also given out K3.2m to 41 cooperatives in Kamfinsa Constituency to grow their businesses.
He was speaking at Kitwe Buchi Hall during the handover of the loans to the beneficiaries.
And Kitwe District Administrative Officer MWAMBA MULENGA said the coming of CDF has helped to sustain and grow businesses for small medium enterprises.
