Thirteen-year-old Naomi Mukonka, a grade seven pupil at Nyawa Primary school has thanked the authority for bringing electricity to her school.

And REA Chief Executive Officer LINUS CHANDA says the project will connect several schools, over three hundred households and other public institutions.

And Chief NYAWA of Kazungula District says he is happy that his chiefdom has received electricity for the first time since independence.

The chief has however urged REA to work at connecting the many schools, clinics and the over five hundred villages in his chiefdom.
