Red Arrows winger Albert  ‘Deddo’ Kangwanda walked away with the golden boot award to cap off a brilliant tournament for the left footed forward. 

Kangwanda shared the award with South African Tshegofatso Mabasa after scoring three goals apiece.

Kangwanda netted the winner against Comoros, the opener against Seychelles and a brilliant free kick in the 2-1 win over South Africa in the semi-final. 

Kangwanda also scored a stunning winner in the 2022 final against Namibia to hand Zambia a sixth title. 

Kangwanda played a pivotal role for coach Moses Sichone’s side as they recorded a seventh regional title, most by any team. 

Zanaco’s Malawi winger Chawanangwa Kaonga was named player of the tournament while Sekhoane Moerane of Lesotho won the golden glove award.
