Government says the National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA-20-percent partial withdrawal has changed the lives of many Zambians.

Labour Minister BRENDA TAMBATAMBA says this is because over 9.4 billion kwacha has been disbursed to over 492,000 NAPSA members under the partial withdrawal.

And Ms. TAMBATAMBA says the Government is further determined to enhance decent and productive work and will intensify joint inspections across the country.

She spoke in Lusaka during a special tripartite consultative labour council meeting.

And Zambia Congress of Trade Unions President BLAKE MULALA has called on the Government to revise downwards the Pay as you Earn threshold to give relief to the majority Zambians in view of the high cost of living.

Meanwhile, Zambia Federation of Employers President MARA NGOMA has proposed that a statutory instrument for employing a person living with disability should be accompanied with tax rebates when passed.

Meanwhile International Labour Organization -ILO- representative JEAN-LOUIS LAMBEAU has called on the Government to continue investing in social protection schemes so that the country can enhance its human capital development and productivity.
